Airport to take our direct flight to Bergen. Upon arrival, we will start our guided tour of the city. We will explore Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important part of the city, where strolling through its narrow alleyways and overhanging galleries will be like stepping back in time to a bygone era. The tour includes a ride on the Fløibanen funicular for wonderful panoramic views. Today, we will celebrate Mass at the Church of Saint Paulin Bergen. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight. Note - this day should be a Saturday, so the evening Mass is the Sunday Mass and the day after, the group can enjoy a journey through the fjordlands without stopping for Mass. Day 8 - Bergen, Eidfjord, Gelio Breakfast is at the hotel and the morning is free to explore the city on your own. After lunch, depart to Eidfjord, the gateway to the Hardanger plateau to enjoy a scenic journey through the fjordlands of Norway. Stop for picture at the Voeringfoss waterfalls, Norway’s most famous waterfall, with a vertical drop of 145 meters and a total fall of 182 meters. Finally, we will reach Geilo, a renowned Norwegian ski resort. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight Day 9 - Gelio, Oslo After breakfast, we will continue our journey towards Oslo, the capital city of Norway. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided of the city including Frogner Park, the world’s largest sculpture park for a single artist, housing controversial works by Gustav Vigeland, featuring more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. We will visit also Akershus Fortress, founded in 1299 during the reign of King Håkon V. The medieval castle had a strategic location at the end of the headland and withstood a number of sieges throughout the ages. King Christian IV (1588-1648) had the castle modernized and converted into a Renaissance royal residence that you see today. Today, we will celebrate Mass at Saint Olav’s Cathedral in Oslo. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
