There is an abundance of alpine and arctic flora living happily side by side, and wonderful birds and many prehistoric burial chambers, tombs and Dolmens. Our last stop of the day is at the Cliffs of Moher, which are vertical cliffs which drop dramatically into the raging Atlantic below. Continue to Dublin where we will check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 5 - Dublin After breakfast, we will depart the hotel and transfer to Pro Cathedral, where we will celebrate Mass. Stroll through Trinity College Dublin, founded by Queen Elizabeth I in 1592. Trinity has produced some of Ireland’s most famous writers from Oscar Wilde to nobel laureate Samuel Beckett. Visit St. Patricks Cathedral, where Jonathan Swift was Dean when he wrote Gulliver’s Travels. St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the largest church in Ireland. Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver’s Travels, the first modern novel in the English language, was Deane of the Cathedral in the early 17th century. There are numerous objects dedicated to Swift’s memory in addition to his tomb, where Swift and his companion Esther Johnson, ‘Stella’ are buried. Lunch is at leisure. Enjoy an afternoon visit to Guinness Storehouse to learn about the national black beer or to Teelings Distillery to learn more about Irish Whiskey. End the day at Johnnie Fox’s Pub for dinner and a show. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 1 - Departure Our journey begins as we depart the USA.

Day 2 - Dublin, Knock We arrive in Dublin and upon arrival, we will meet our tour guide and board our coach. We will head to Clonmacnoise for a visit, then, continue to our hotel to check in and celebrate Mass at the Chapel in Knock. Return to the hotel for dinner. Day 3 -Leenane, Kylemore, Knock Enjoy breakfast before we celebrate Mass. After Mass, we will drive to Westport and stop at the foot of Croagh Patrick, the mountain where St. Patrick is said to have fasted and prayed for 40 Days and 40 nights. Then, drive to Delphi or Doolough to Leenane. We will have lunch on our own. Then, arrive in Kylemore in time for lunch in the coffee shop followed by tour. Kylemore Abbey is an extravagant house on the edge of a lake built in the 1800’s by a rich merchant for his beloved wife. Sadly she died and never lived in the house. It has been a school for many years operated by nuns. They still live here but now it is open to the public for visits. We will visit the lovely church. Dinner and overnight in Knock. Day 4 - Galway, Clifs of Moher, Dublin This morning, we depart Knock and head to Galway. We will have a walking tour of the city of Galway and celebrate Mass at the Galway Cathedral.
