Bishop John Hopkins served the East Ohio and Minnesota Conferences of The United Methodist Church from 1996-2016. He graduated from Indiana University, Yale University and completed a residency in hospital, campus and parish ministry at The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College. He has a passion for mission and was instrumental in the
launch of Operation Classroom in Liberia and Sierra Leone. He was the first Chair of The Connectional Table which coordinates the worldwide mission and ministry of The United Methodist Church. Bishop Hopkins has traveled extensively and been a speaker on numerous EO tours.
