Day 8 – Zadar, Liubljiana After breakfast, we will drive to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. Upon arrival, we will meet our local guide for a pleasant walking tour to discover the well preserved city center. The Triple Bridge is the symbol monument of Ljubliana, which is a group of three bridges connecting two parts of the city. Break for lunch on your own. Check in at the hotel and then enjoy dinner with a folk show that evening. Day 9 - Libljana, Lake Bled, Lliubljana Today, we will particiate in an excursion to the emerald green Lake Bled. Take a boat ride around the lake and admire the picture perfect castle on top of the cliff (optional). The castle can be visited for those who are able to walk up about 200 steps. Visit the Church of the Assumption of Mary located on an island in the middle of the lake. Return to Ljubljana. Enjoy time at leisure for shopping. Then, we will walk to a restaurant for a Slovenian dinner. Day 10 - Liubliana, Trieste, Padova After breakfast, we will check out and drive to Italy. After crossing the border, we will stop in Trieste to visit Miramare castle, built in the 19th century for the Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Carlota of Mexico. The furnishings of the residence are still intact. Continue to romantic and fascinating Venice, the “Queen of Adriatic”. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight in Padova. Day 11 – Venice After breakfast, take a private boat to reach the island. A vaporetto ride will give us the best city view. The palaces lining the waterway were built over a span of five centuries and present a panoramic survey of the city’s history. The Rialto Bridge spans the canal in the very heart of the city. Palaces and churches are filled with masterpieces of art by Tintoretto, Titian, Van Dyck, Bellini begin the list. Meet our local guide for a walking tour, which includes Piazza San Marco, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs. After you break for lunch on your own, we will enjoy time at leisure for shopping, an optional gondola ride or a visit a Murano glass factory. Then, return by boat and take our bus back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
